Meet Dan Božinov

Dan has spent a lifetime working at the intersection of life and computing, where encoding governs memory and human priorities. He began programming when 8-bit CPUs were still in fashion, developing an early respect for elegant algorithms, efficiency, and the significance carried in every bit and millisecond. In a path that only made sense to him, that technical curiosity led to training as a physician, with a focus on human genetics.

Rather than narrowing his focus, Dan extended it. He pursued graduate study in computer science with an emphasis on massively parallel computing, followed by another Master’s degree in cybersecurity. His career has since included senior scientific roles in research and academia, as well as executive leadership positions guiding data-driven approaches in early-stage clinical development.

Beyond his professional work, Dan has long been drawn to how knowledge, memory, and values persist across generations. An early immigrant with Eastern European roots, he now lives in the Rocky Mountains, surrounded by livestock, good dogs, and the uncompromising landscape of the high country. His debut novel opens a new chapter, one informed by science and history alike, but grounded in land, lineage, and the truths learned far from screens.
